The American Heart Association in partnership with Macy’s is looking for women in the Denver community who want to MAKE IT THEIR MISSION to fight heart disease and stroke. Heart Disease is still the number one killer of women in the U.S.
On February 5th, the American Heart Association is launching a nationwide call for stories and inviting women would have been personally affected by heart disease or stroke to share their story.
Women who share their story will have the chance to become a spokesperson for the cause.
Attendees that day will also have the opportunity to participate in a Macy’s Go Red Passport program and will be eligible to win a $250 Macy’s gift card!

The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer series is a project of the Avon Foundation for Women, a 501(c)(3) public charity. The Avon Walk is a non-competitive weekend-long fund-raising walks for all fitness levels. Each of the nine Avon Walks across the country offer participants a choice of walking a marathon (26.2 miles) or a marathon and a half (39.3 miles) over a weekend.
The Avon Foundation awards the funds raised to local, regional and national breast cancer organizations that help men and women get the medical care they need—regardless of their ability to pay—and accelerates the work of leading research teams in their quest for improved prevention, detection and treatment, and ultimately a cure for breast cancer. Since its start in 2003, the Avon Walk series has raised more than $423 million.
