28 year old Chris Norris was killed in an avalanche in Winter Park Sunday, January 22nd. Chris was a husband and father of two, 7-week-old son, Sage, and three-and-a-half year-old daughter, Indyka. Without Chris, the family is not struggling, not only emotionally, but financially as well. You can make a donations at any Wells Fargo Bank to the Christopher Norris Memorial Fund. The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer series is a project of the Avon Foundation for Women, a 501(c)(3) public charity. The Avon Walk is a non-competitive weekend-long fund-raising walks for all fitness levels. Each of the nine Avon Walks across the country offer participants a choice of walking a marathon (26.2 miles) or a marathon and a half (39.3 miles) over a weekend.
The Avon Foundation awards the funds raised to local, regional and national breast cancer organizations that help men and women get the medical care they need—regardless of their ability to pay—and accelerates the work of leading research teams in their quest for improved prevention, detection and treatment, and ultimately a cure for breast cancer. Since its start in 2003, the Avon Walk series has raised more than $423 million.
