Haunted Tours

Fairmount Cemetery Tour
430 S. Quebec St.
Denver, CO 80247
(303) 322-3895
The historic Fairmount Cemetery is the final resting place for many of Denver’s notable historic figures. From the headstone of philanthropist Emily Griffith to graves of silver tycoons and millionaires, bawdy brothel owners and massacre victims; the rich history in the beautifully kept graveyard comes to life with the Fairmount Heritage Foundation. Volunteer actors bring the stories to life in full costume and character. An interesting insight to the city and residents of the graveyard, this tour is more suitable for adults interested in learning about Denver’s history than for a family activity.

Phil Goostein Walking Tours
(303) 333-1095
Phil is a treasure of Denver and a walking encyclopedia on the history of the Centennial State. With his fantastic walking tours of several Denver neighborhoods this Halloween season, check out his Ghost Walk of Downtown or the Riverside Cemetery Tour. Insightful and entertaining, Phil’s work can also be read in his books “The Haunts of Washington Park,” “The Spirits of South Broadway” and “Murders in the Bank Vault: The Father’s Day Massacre and the Trail of James King.”

Denver, CO 80202

There are reports of single, male guests staying in the room having their arms pulled with sheets ripped from the bed and seeing apparitions of the young woman who shot and killed her married lover before turning the gun on herself in 1898. A stay in this room makes for a goosebump-filled night at the hotel. Guests can also head to The Cruise Room where the ghost of a 1930′s postal worker can be seen drinking at the bar on occasion, always leaving a full beer for the bartender to collect.
