Cord, Ocean, Deshon, Zane, Tatiana, Ashlynn- ADOPTEDThe Story: It’s been a rough year for us, but our kids have stayed happy and positive throughout the tough times. We have four adopted kids (one grown), two biological kids, and custody of our grandson. Our grandson, Deshon, fell from a window and suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Zaeden & Aria - ADOPTEDThe story: My daughter is a very young mother of a 11 month old boy and is pregnant with her second child (Baby Aria)any day now. Her boyfriend was unemployed until recently getting a job where he works nights for little pay, but he is grateful for a job. They struggle every month. I try to help with necessities, diaper etc. but there is not extras for toys and clothing. Help would be great!

Elijah, Joshua, Zachariah, Aneesa, Layla, Naiya - ADOPTED
The Story: Three months ago I picked up my daughter from Arizona along with her six children and all her belongings and took them from an abusing relationship. I told him if he touched again I will pick up my family. they were getting evicted, he was not working! I wish I could give these kids everything they want for Christmas, but the move took a lot of our savings. We all live in a 2-bedroom condo. We manage. They are happier with us. Elijah is hearing impaired and attends a special school in Colorado Springs,in which he goes to school Monday thru Friday and comes for the weekend. Thanks for reading, Mario.

Dillon, Hunter and Cole - ADOPTED
The Story: It has been hard this year trying to make ends meet. I have been trying to find full time work or another part time job that would give me more hours. My boyfriend, Cole's father, Ben Meyer has taken on the soul provider of paying the rent and the bills. We have had to make several trips to the local food banks just to be able to have any food in the house. I am so stressed and worried that none of my kids will have anything under the tree for Christmas. My oldest boy Dillon has been living with his father at least for the school year. I have found a new job but still part time and more hours but not many.

The Story: Steph is an amazing single mom. She works so hard to provide for her children & always wears a smile. The Story: Hard to do in 50 words. We've had a horrible year and would like the kids to have a decent xmas. My daughter was molested by a family friend. It was on the news which has made it harder. So we've been in and out of court all this year, lost our home, my mom became very ill and passed away the day after my 13-year -old that was abused birthday. I could not find a job, which thanks to god I am now working but don't make enough to even cover bills. We've had a horrible heartbreaking year I would like my children to have one good memory this year and unfortunately I can't afford Christmas and would greatly appreciate any help.

Logan and Landyn - ADOPTED
The Story: My daughter is a single mom who lost her dad, found out she has the same disease that killed him, and was laid off. She had knee surgery and they are incredible little boys. I was diagnosed with cancer. I just want them to have an extra special day.

The Story: I was laid off my job of 9 years and now working a temp job, I have another baby on the way and no father to help, and a life threatning condition from the pregnancy and no money for my son or unborn daughter.

Audren, Lane & Tanne - ADOPTED
The Story: My boys have given me so much strength. In 2008 I left the comforts of a stay at home mom to a domestic violence shelter. We haven't looked back. I struggle to make sure we have all of our needs met but it is difficult. Audren(my oldest) tries to sell his toys at school when he is worried and it breaks my heart. I wish I could give them back some of their childhood that seems to have been lost through this process.

The Story: I am a close friend of Will (dad) and his two kids Amy and Bryan. Will is a single dad who works full-time, takes care of his kids, and loves them more than anything in the world. Will has expressed to me that he is worried that he won't be able to afford gifts for Amy and Bryan this Christmas. The Story: I am a mother of two boys who was recently laid off from my job. Two days after the transmission went out on my car, it has been very hard getting my boys to and from school and to job interviews without transportation. I am asking for help getting my car fixed to insure my kids get to school and to get a job to support them.

The story: It started last September (over a year ago) my mother has been trying to take my children from me in a nasty court case still ongoing. Noble and Noah - ADOPTED
The story: I’d like to nominate my big brother, Wayne, for BJ & Jamie’s Giving Tree. My brother has always been my best friend, and has always taken me, his baby sister under his wing. This is one way I can try to give back to him in the spirit of Christmas this year. He’s a single father of an incredible 12 year old, Noble. He works very hard to provide for Noble, having raised him on his own for the past 4 years. Noble loves school and has recently started taking karate classes after school, which he loves; Wayne definitely has had to make sacrifices for himself in order to provide this new activity for Noble. Early in the year (2012), Wayne was called in by the State of Colorado and ordered to take a paternity test. He learned he was the father of a child who was almost two, whom he had never met, and had not been in contact with the mother for that entire time. The child had been in foster care for several months and he was given the option of meeting this child. Without hesitation, Wayne went to meet his child and took the steps necessary to gain custody of his new son, Noah. While he’s thrilled to be raising both of his boys, it’s come at a price. Wayne has had to change jobs in order to pick up and drop off at daycare, which ultimately led to a job that forced him to take a pay cut. He works at a nursing home, changing sheets, bedding, and diapers—a big change from the maintenance job he did hold just last year. But it allows him the maximum time with his kids. Due to the pay cut, Noble is no longer able to take karate lessons, either, because Wayne now needs to pay for day care. Wayne would have it no other way, because he knows he’s doing all he can for his boys. I know that Wayne would love to provide a big Christmas for the boys this year with several gifts, but I’m afraid he probably doesn’t have the funds to do so—that’s why I know this would mean the world to he and his boys. This could potentially be the best Christmas, ever, and would be such a great gift to Wayne, who has worked so hard this year to provide for his kids. He deserves the world but would give it all to his boys. Thank you for your consideration, Jenea

The story: Tammy is a single mom doing her best to raise to happy healthy kids. She is currently in school to better herself for her kids but struggles to keep the heat on and food on the table. She has over come a lot the last few years; fighting cancer, having neck surgery and being forced to move a number of times. Regardless of her own issues she is always the first one to jump in and help others and support them through thick and thin. Here kids are always a blessing to be around and find a way to warm the spirit of all they meet.

The story: Hello. I’m a single mother of 3 wonderful kids’. They have respect , compassion, and manners. This Christmas I am unable to work due to my Great Grandmother recently becoming homeless. She is 96yrs old. I brought her in to live with us, and provide the care she deserves. I can not bring myself to put her in a nursing home. She raised me from a baby until the age of 7. I feel it is my time to care for her, the way she put her aging years aside to take me in, and raise me. My children deserve to have the things I can not provide this year. I just hope and pray I am able to find a little help. Thank you.

Dorian, Darian, Camila - ADOPTED
The story: Hi. My family has been been trough a rough year, my husbands father got really sick, and he ended up having to have sergery for a brain tumor, in which my husband had to take time off work so he can take care of his father, and spend more time with him. I was very understanding because he was very close to him. I am a stay at home mom, so we fell behind with our bills.The odds of his father getting better where really bad, so i was understanding of my husband leaving work. Well his dad passed away in November. And my children are having a hard time getting use to the idea of their Grand daddy not beeing with us anymore, and that we do not have $ for Chistmas. It brakes my heart that everywhere we go they see Christmas lights, ornaments. Please help me out. I will be for ever grateful.
