The Downtown Denver Arts Festival will celebrate its 15th year with a full line-up of the state’s most outstanding artists. The festival returns to its original home at the Denver Performing Arts Complex at Speer Blvd. and Arapahoe Street. The event is FREE and will have more than 100 of Colorado’s best artists along with a select group of national artists.

Do you remember the historical Deaf Camp Picnic from the 1970s and 80s featuring musical talent such as the legendary John Denver, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Jimmy Buffet? After a 15-year hiatus, Snowmass Tourism and the Aspen Deaf Camp (ADC) are happy to announce that it’s returning again to Snowmass Village, July 18-20, 2013. The event that John Denver put on the map is back and better than ever providing a three-day weekend of getting together with old friends, food, festivities and great live music headlined by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Billy Dean.
All proceeds of the Aspen Deaf Camp Picnic benefit the Aspen Camp of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. General admission tickets for Saturday’s show are only $24 in advance and $30 day of event. Children 10 and under are free. Limited VIP tickets are also available which sponsors a child to attend summer camp. The VIP package, which is $250 advanced purchase or $275 the day of the event, includes special seating on side stage, appetizers and unlimited drinks. Participants at the Roundup event may get rid of paint and paint products, motor oil, antifreeze, vehicle batteries, household rechargeable batteries, solvents, house and garden chemicals, fluorescent light bulbs, compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), scrap metal, fire extinguishers, items containing mercury, propane tanks, and passenger vehicle and pickup truck tires.
There will also be a FREE Drop-and-Swap area where people can leave or take household cleaners, paint products, car wax, antifreeze, fertilizer and garden products that are still in their original containers. These events are free to residents (proof of residency is required) however they are requesting donations. Note that some electronics may carry a $5 fee.
