Anna’s medical journey began in December 2015 when a coughing attack sent her to the emergency room. Anna’s condition deteriorated so rapidly that she was airlifted to Children’s Hospital Colorado for life-saving treatment. Two months later, after experiencing chest pain, doctors found a tumor in her lungs and diagnosed Anna with a form of cancer called Ewing’s Sarcoma. Her tumor is so rare, it’s only the 17th time doctors have seen Ewing’s Sarcoma presented this way in a patient. Anna underwent a complex surgery to remove half her lung and she just completed her chemotherapy treatment in October. Tune in to hear how Anna endured her treatment and how she is doing today.
