When Logan was 3-and-a-half, he developed a mysterious chronic stomach ache. After months of doctor visits and dietary adjustments, an x-ray revealed a large mass in his lung. It turned out to be a very rare cancerous tumor with a 30 percent chance of survival. Logan underwent nine months of chemo, two surgeries and six weeks of radiation to remove the tumor. Through the process, he lost two of his ribs and much of his right lung. Despite this, Logan has survived, and, more importantly, thrived. Doctors at Children’s Colorado have gone above and beyond to ensure Logan receives the best possible care for his rare form of cancer, collaborating with other hospitals and doctors that have treated similar cases. Tune in to hear how Logan is doing today.
