Slacker and Steve - OPP: Letting Your In-Laws Move In (Audio)

Do you always have to take care of family?

Today's OPP is from T:

Yi Slacker & Steve,

My husband's parents are in their mid-60s and getting ready to retire, but they haven't saved any money or made any sort of plan for retirement at all. Because of this they asked me and my husband if they could move in with us. Their plan is to sell their house and invest some of the money to try to make a quick buck. While my husband isn't thrilled with the idea he feels like he can't say no. I think that if we let them move in they will live here the rest of their lives. I love them and I don't want to see them suffer, but I really can't let them live here for the best years of our lives. We will almost never have any alone time and have to share our house every minute of every day. I wouldn't even be able to run down the hall to the bathroom in the morning without having to get completely dressed first. How do I tell my husband and his parents that they cannot move in with us? What do I do?
