Slacker and Steve - OPP: Kicking Out Sister (Audio)

August 31, 2016

Today’s OPP is from Amy and she needs your help! Here’s what she said,

Yi guys,

My sister has been living with me for the last 7 months. I had the extra space so I let her move in to get back on her feet after her husband walked out on her. Since she’s been here, she hasn’t done anything to improve her situation and she’s making my life a living hell. She’s a slob and I’m constantly picking up after her. She has not saved a penny and I have paid almost every bill and bought almost all the groceries since she moved in. I’m tired of it and want to go back to my old life but it’s not that easy. The simple answer would be to kick her out, but that means that I would be kicking out my 5 year old nephew too. I feel trapped because I don’t want him to be a victim of my sister’s irresponsibility. I feel like he’s finally settling into a routine and has some normalcy in his life and I don’t want to mess that up. Plus, I know he’s getting good meals and has a safe place to sleep when they are here. What do I do? How do I get rid of her but still make sure my nephew is taken care of? Am I stuck with her? –Amy

What advice do you have for Amy?

Slacker and Steve - OPP: Kicking Out Sister 8/31

Amy is regretting letting her sister move in, after her husband had left. She is a slob, hasn't paid one bill or has even attempted to improve her situation. Amy wants to kick her out, however her sister's 5-year-old son is finally living with some normalcy in his life and she doesn't want to ruin that. How can Amy get rid of her but still make sure her nephew is taken care of?
