Slacker and Steve - OPP: Graduation Dropout (Audio)

Today’s OPP is from Karina. She needs advice on whether she should tell the truth or ride the lie! Here’s what she said: 

Yi guys,

My graduation is supposed to be this weekend and a lot of family are coming from out of town--my parents, aunts and uncles, and my grandparents. I dropped out at the end of last year and never told anyone. I got really burned out on school and started to hate my major. I wanted to change majors but the wait to get into the one I wanted was long. Anyway, I have two options now: Pretend like I'm sick and can't go to the graduation ceremony or tell my family the truth. My parents have been supporting me through college and I know they would cut me off if they find out. I couldn't survive without the money they send me. Should I be honest and tell my family so they don't make a trip here for nothing or tell the truth and lose my parents support I need to survive? –Karina
