Slacker and Steve - GMD: Drinking with the Neighbor (Audio)

March 9, 2017

Earlier this week we did an OPP from Josie. Here is her letter:

Yi guys,
We had a couple move in 2 doors down from us last summer. We got to know each other really well and have hung out a lot. Lately, I have been busy with work so I haven’t seen them all that much. My husband was still going over to hang out with them and drink wine. I was totally fine with that until I found out that it was just the wife. Her husband has been travelling for work and has been out of town for most of the last 2 weeks. My husband didn’t think it was a big deal because we are friends with both of them. He said he wouldn’t cheat on me but I find it weird that it took him 2 weeks to mention the husband hasn’t been there. He’s been coming home late when he goes over there, but that is pretty normal of when we hang out with them. I want to believe him but something in my gut is telling me things aren’t right. Could they be cheating or is it normal to just hang out with a female friend when your spouses aren’t around? Am I allowed to tell him he’s not allowed to go over there without me?
Josie

Some people said it’s nothing to worry about. Other’s said it was a huge deal that could lead to temptation that shouldn’t be there. We only got Josie’s side of the story in her letter, so we brought her husband, Matt, on the air with us for a Great Mate Debate to hear why he doesn’t think it’s a big deal. He said he loved his wife and didn't think it was a big deal because they are all friends. He said he would never cheat on Josie. All he and Rachel have done is have some drinks while talking sports and TV.

Is it okay for Matt to drink alone with the female friend a couple doors down?

Slacker and Steve - GMD: Drinking with the Neighbor 3/9

A few days ago, we did Josie’s OPP…she discovered her husband has been drinking alone with a female neighbor friend. We only got Josie’s side and now her husband wants to give his side…which means we have a Great Mate Debate on our hands! Hear their sides and tell them who you think is right.
