Britney Spears Says She Sings Live & She's Mad You Haven't Given Her Credit

June 28, 2017

Britney Spears is on the defensive, and she wants the world to know that she DOES sing live during her performances.

Of course, it's long been discussed that the "Princess of Pop" uses digital enhancements for her performances. Simply put: she uses "playback," which many know as "lip-syncing." A recording is played while she pretends to sing. Now, we've never faulted Britney, though, because she totally owns the stage.

Well, in a new interview with an Israeli TV station, the 35-year-old singer defended her performances. She said she sings live, and in fact, she seems annoyed that she's not getting enough credit for singing live.

She told the interviewer that her performances include a mixture of playback and live singing.

The "Oops I Did It Again" singer went on to say that it "pisses her off" that she isn't given credit for signing live while she moves around the stage as much as she does. As we've said, there's a lot of movement in her show so it is justified to us.

Why is she suddenly so defensive about it? Perhaps these comments are related to the Ed Sheeran debacle earlier this week. Apparently, there was a lot of speculation that Ed Sheeran didn't sing live at a concert this weekend in the UK. Spoiler: he totally did NOT lip-sync this weekend.
