Pet owners who have a sneaky suspicion their cats aren't interested in them may be on to something.
Recently, researchers found that even though cats can differentiate between their owner's voice and that of a stranger, they possess more of a "don't care" attitude when it comes to responding. In other words, the furry felines can definitely hear you; they just don't care enough to acknowledge you.
"Previous studies suggest that cats have evolved to behave like kittens (around their owners), and humans treat cats similar to the way that they treat babies," study co-author Kazutaka Shinozuka, of the University of South Florida College of Medicine, told the outlet. "To form such baby-parent like relationships, recognition of owners might be important for cats."
Albeit, the study concludes by noting that, "the behavioral aspect of cats that cause their owners to become attached to them are still undetermined."
Maybe it's all that "tough" love that has owners pining for affection.
It's undoubtedly the cutest picture to date of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter Nori.
But after the reality star posted the image on her Instagram page on Monday, fans were quick to speculate about little North's appearance.
While thousands were commenting on the six-month-old's cheery and smiling demeanour, others pointed out the little girl's perfect brows - with some even suggesting that Kim had groomed her child's arches.
'Kim definitely waved her baby's unibrow!' Fans were quick to react to the new image Kardashian tweeted of her little girl Nori on Monday
One fan, called Alexa Rebola, tweeted: 'Kim K definitely waxed her baby's unibrow.'
And another, Katie Keegan, added: 'I swear the instagram pic Kim Kardashian just put up looks like her baby's eyebrows are filled in and waxed idc.'
Some even went as far as to say that Nori had better eyebrows than them, with Lauren Jrey tweeting: 'That awkward moment when Kim Kardashian's baby has a better eyebrow game than you.'

Denise Richards is the Grinch who stole Christmas ... at least according to Charlie Sheen -- who's pissed at his ex-wife for pulling the plug on his holiday plans with their daughters.
Sources close to Sheen tell TMZ Denise informed Charlie this weekend she didn't want him to join her, Sam, and Lola on their family Christmas trip -- and didn't really explain why.
We're told the news sent Charlie into a tailspin since he's already not seeing twins Bob and Max this year for Christmas -- they'll be with temp guardian/Brooke Mueller's brother Scott.
Sheen lashed out at Denise by tweeting a pic of a chopped up baseball bat -- a souvenir from their wedding -- with the caption, "The lie is over. I'm done being treated like a relative with a one-way ticket. #DuhNeese."
Our sources say Denise is confused about Charlie's anger -- because as far as she's concerned ... he's still welcome to join her and the girls on the trip.
Clearly, that's not Charlie's understanding of the situation.
It's unclear how there could be such a huge communication gap, but our guess ... we're talking about Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards.
A woman in Montana is accused of pushing her husband off a cliff after an argument. The pair had been married for just more than a week.
Jordan Linn Graham made an initial appearance in court Monday to face a charge of second-degree murder. If convicted, she faces life in prison.
According to a criminal complaint, Graham recently told a friend she was having second thoughts about marrying Cody L. Johnson. The couple had been married for just more than a week.
The complaint said the couple argued the night of July 7. Upset, they decided to go hiking in Glacier National Park in Flathead County, Montana, where they continued to fight.
Police: Newlywed pushed husband off cliff
Graham told police that her husband grabbed her by the arm. She turned and removed it.
"Graham stated she could have just walked away, but due to her anger, she pushed Johnson with both hands in the back and as a result, he fell face first off the cliff," the complaint read.
His body was discovered several days later.
Graham's attorney, Michael Donahoe, declined to comment on the case.
According to the complaint, Graham reportedly told a friend she planned to talk with Johnson about her reservations on July 7. The same day, Graham sent the friend a text message saying, "Oh well, I'm about to talk to him."
The friend responded, "I'll pray for you guys."
Graham wrote back: "But dead serious if u don't hear from me at all again tonight, something happened."
