Today I read Pat's (lead singer of Train) blog about his father who passed away last week. I found the words to be touching, heartfelt and beautifully written. It scares me to think that someday my own father will pass away so I usually don't think about it but I only pray that I could write something so beautiful in his honoer. On a side note, Alanis does have a new album coming out in August. Havoc and Bright Lights will be released August 28th. Her new single, "Guardian," is already out and you can see the lyric vid below.
It's out- the video for the duet Coldplay and Rihanna (the song's been around for a while). The song is called "Princess of China." Now, you'll definitely see some influences in the video that are most definitely NOT Chinese but that's not all that people seem to be noticing. Shakira's fans are crying "foul!" over a similar element that appears in her video "Give It Up To Me" released 3 years ago. While I can see what they are referring to (hint: think Hindu god) I'm not sure I agree that it's a direct rip off. Watch both of 'em and decide for yourself!
