It’s that time of year again for Girl Scout Cookies! Steve has been buying cookies from every little girl on his block and in about a week we are going to make a Girl Scout’s day and buy 100 boxes!
However, we just discovered that Wal-Mart is starting to sell cookies that are knock-offs of Girl Scout Cookies under their “Great Value Brand” which is under $2.
When Slacker was young he used to own the knock-off brand of Oreos because he was poor and he couldn’t afford anything.
Truth be told, when it’s not Girl Scout Cookies time, I crave some sort of Tagalong or Trefoil, so I head to the grocery store and I buy the knock-off brand. I can’t help it, but when it’s Girl Scout Season I am all about buying those boxes of cookies. I was once a Girl Scout so I feel their pain.
Should Wal-Mart be able to sell these cookies? Are they undermining the Girl Scouts?
