Slacker & Steve's Blog

Vigilante Justice

A Texas mother posed as her 12-year-old daughter, complete with a hoddie, wig, and sneakers to trap a sexual predator who was using Facebook to try to lure her daughter into sex. She had let her daughter set up a Facebook page on the condition she could monitor it. She found a friend request from a guy she'd never heard of and her daughter said it was a 20-year-old college kid who had been trying to contact her. Her mom accepted the friendship but pretended to be her 12-year-old daughter. She gave him multiple outs always telling him she was only 12. He eventually started telling her sick and disgusting sexual things he wanted to do to her and he asked her to sneak out. Mom got the cops involved and then she went to meet him dressed up like a 12-year-old girl. She met him at a predetermined spot and the cops jumped in and arrested him. It turns out he's a choir teacher for a middle school which he's now resigned from.

Slacker once had a guitar stolen and he went to extreme lengths to try to get it back. He searched craigslist for months, hoping to find it. Unfortunately for him, he never saw it again.

How far would you go to protect your child?
