Gov. John Hickenlooper launched the branding initiative earlier this year to give the Centennial State an update, using mostly private funds, pro bono workers and a group of Colorado-based creative talent to design a brand.
"The reason we need to have a coherent brand is we want to attract more like-minded people to Colorado. We want to attract businesses that should be here creating good jobs," said Toby Krout, the project director for Brand Colorado.
On Instagram, the creative team artists posted examples of how the branding could be used, from ad campaigns to state park passes.
Krout said the team is now putting the finishing touches on the winning logo.
They are also looking at possible taglines or slogans, including: Rise, Rising, Ever Upward and Come to Life.
The brand will be unveiled on Aug. 29.
