The NFL has announced a controversial rule change that has nothing to do with what happens on the field. The league has set forth a new policy that puts limits on the size and type of bags that can be brought into stadiums — a move that might not go over well with female fans.
This is part of the statement outlining the policy.
Beginning with preseason games, fans will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package, or container at stadium plaza areas, stadium gates, or when approaching queue lines of fans awaiting entry into the stadium:
Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12." (Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags will be available through club merchandise outlets or at nflshop.com), or
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
Under the new rules, women will no longer be allowed to carry standard-size purses into games. There are also many other items that will no longer be permitted.

A very wealthy lawyer ended up in jail after a rowdy weekend in Las Vegas caused $100,000 in damages to his luxury hotel suite.
The Encore Tower Suites at the Wynn in Las Vegas is suing Robert Pearman (45) to recover the money needed to repair the three bedroom, 5,829-square-foot hotel room.
Hotel security called the police after staff discovered the wrecked room. Officers went inside to find a heavily intoxicated Pearman partying with five women.
He immediately took responsibility for the damage.
"I take full responsibility for what happened here. We were partying," he told the officers, slurring his speech.
"I did all of this. I am responsible for all of these people. Let my people go."
