Reporters "near-mis"

THIS incredible photo captures the moment a flying baseball came within inches of striking a sports reporter.

US sports presenter Kelly Nash took the snap at Fenway Park - home of the Boston Redsox - while the batters were warming up.

And incredibly she managed to capture a ball whizzing past the back of her head - narrowly avoiding her.

After posting the image on her Instagram page Ms Nash said: “My producer had called out ‘heads up!’ a few times while I was taking pictures around the left field section, but none of those balls actually fell close to me, so I took my chances turning my back on batting practice for a picture."

She continued: "My whole family is from Massachusetts, and I knew they would be so excited to see me working at Fenway Park, and when I went to text them the picture I noticed the baseball by my head!”

Bizarrely Ms Nash has attributed her luck to a DVD copy of hit 1994 children's film "Angels in The Outfield" - a film starring baseball playing angels who come to the aid of two young boys.
