With all due respects acknowledged...We are at a loss for words! Your posts are always appreciated and recognized.
Slacker and Steve made sure that FrYiday was handled appropriately. They put the kid gloves on and ditched their scheduled format to take calls and listen to as many listeners as they could fit on the air before the left the studio for Live@5 and continued to broadcast the calls as often as the format allowed until 7:00pm MDT Friday evening.
Live@5 also went on as planned at The Tavern. People had the neccessary outlet to share their stories.
Now we want to know how we should proceed from here. Do you think the show needs to move on or do we need to keep this platform available for you to continue to post your comments on the shooting in Aurora CO?
We will never forget the victims and families that have been affected by the tragedy at the theaters in Aurora CO...
Peace, Love and Good Happiness Stuff! - Ray the Intern
I just heard the comments made on your show by the gentleman that was shot twice in theater 9. I have very intimate knowledge in respect to "I did not see any ambulances and I was taken to the hospital by police officers in their cars." The Aurora Fire Department Battalion Chief that was on scene and "running the incident" failed to act!!! He was asked multiple times by Aurora Police Department officers to get medical attention into the theater and did not send them in. He was more concerned with getting more fire engines and fire personnel there than getting ambulances into the scene. It took 36 minutes for this "commander' to request additional help from other ambulance agencies and this was too late!! By this time, police officers had no choice but to put victims into their cars and take them to the hospital. It was a complete failure by this "chief" that possibly caused more victims their lives. I am truly sorry for the victims of this senseless act of violence.
