I am a girl in her late 20's and I've never had a boyfriend. I went out with one guy for 2 months, and there have been a few others since then, but I never get past the first or second date. I would sleep with them and they would never call again. I used to think to keep a guy you need to sleep with them, now I'm almost 30 and know that's not the case. I have lost 35 pounds and am ready to meet my first real boyfriend. I am on many different dating sites and I put myself out there, but I can't seem to meet anyone. I give out my number and never get calls. My friends get hit on in bars--I do not. I feel like now that I'm ready to settle down no one wants me. I haven't been on a "real" date and I wouldn't know how to act. I feel like the clock is running out being close to 30.
I feel hopeless. I hope someone else has been in this place. I'm starting to lose the confidence I had, and I know it's not me. I am amazing and I know that. Thanks for any advice I can get!
Slacker thinks that Candy is still carrying around the old Candy. Where does confidence come from? You either have confidence or you don’t or you have to get it from someone else. Getting it from someone else is not really true confidence and they can take it back. If you are ever really going to online dating be true to who you really are don’t fake it.
Steve says if striking up a conversation with a woman he can tell if she has self confidence issues in the past. Guys can tell right away if the girl is wanting a serious relationship or is desperate. That is not an attractive quality. She needs a better support system through friends.
She needs your help. What do you think she should do?
If you don't have confidence in yourself you attract the wrong kind of people. She needs to find good friends to help her out in everyday situations so she knows how to deal. Stop searching so hard for a man just go do the things you love and let it happen naturally.
