Yi! I let my wife borrow my company car the other night to run to the grocery store and she got into a fender bender on the way home. Now she's trying to talk me into telling my boss that I was driving when it happened, even though there's a police report stating she was behind the wheel. First, there is a strict company policy forbidding us to allow anyone else to drive our company vehicles- so I'm already in huge trouble. If I try to lie and they found out I will definitely be fired. Is there any way out of this huge mess my wife's terrible driving has caused?
Candy (I Couldn’t think of another fake name)
When there was a big hail storm Slacker’s patio furniture got horribly destroyed, and his neighbors wanted to take pictures and claim it too. Slacker and Steve really don’t think there is any way out because it is fraud. Yet they think maybe he should lie and hopefully not get caught.
I can understand how this could be a hard situation. Overall I think Candy should just tell his boss what happened. While he might get in trouble, I think if he owns up to what happened his boss maybe a little forgiving because he is not trying to cover it up, and telling the truth. On the same note everyone has different bosses so I don’t know how understand his boss will be. If you lie there is always the chance of being caught and being in even more trouble. It will always be on his mind until his boss knows so he might as well get it out there.
What do you think Candy should do?
