Yi! My wife and I hosted a neighborhood party for the Broncos game on Sunday and one of the neighbors got a bit out of hand and ended up falling off of our back deck. At the time he seemed fine but then woke up Monday in pain. He went to the doctor and it turns out the idiot broke his arm! Then, last night he called us and asked us to pay his medical bills. I told him we'd talk about it but I really want call him back and tell him where to go! Anyone dumb enough to get so trashed they fall off of a well lit deck should have to suffer the consequences. Am I right or are we should we pay his medical bills?
Slacker was at someone’s house one time and they had their grandkids over so when he went to open the screen door, the grandkids came rushing by, slamming the screen door and snapped his finger in half. Slacker says legally, if you’re in someone else’s home and they have home owner’s insurance, they will have to cover the person’s injuries, but their premiums will go up, so in Slacker’s situation, he didn’t want them to pay. Instead, he made up some story saying it happened in a grocery store parking lot.
Personally, I think it’s his fault he got drunk, stumbled onto the deck and was stupid enough to fall off the deck. Nick and his wife should not have to pay a thing. This guy needs to learn a lesson. It’s his own fault for not knowing his own body. Granted, ok, somebody could have been looking out for him, but you are your own responsibility.
Do you think Nick and his wife should have to pay this guy’s medical bills? What advice do you have for him?
