Lucky

Yi!

A Virginia couple have had quite the lucky streak after winning the lottery three times this month. Their first win came on March 12th when they won $1 million in the Powerball drawing. Their next win came on March 26th when they won $50,000 on 10 winning lottery tickets in the Virginia Lottery’s Pick 4 game. The next day they had another $1 million win from a Virginia Lottery Scratcher ticket- the $100 Million Cash Extravaganza.

If that isn't lucky enough for ya...A doctor in Oklahoma lost his wedding ring during an emergency surgery on a dog.
When he usually does surgeries, the vet normally takes his wedding ring off and puts it on a corner of the surgery table. But after his last procedure, he realized too late that the ring had landed in the trash can. He returned to work the next day and the trash can had been emptied. The doctor realized his lost wedding ring was somewhere in an Oklahoma City landfill, where over 2,000 tons of garbage is dumped daily. The chances of finding the ring were slim to none. But that didn’t stop him. Landfill employees identified the truck that carried the ring. The couple showed up  to help in the search. After digging and digging, the doctor tore a sack open and dropped it on a cardboard box and the ring fell out.

How have you gotten lucky?

Signed,
Intern Nikki

The missing heart necklace
The first piece of jewelry my husband gave me was a heart-shaped necklace with a little diamond in thei middle. We had had some robberies in the neighborhood so To keep it safe I put it in a small plastic jar. I thought it went into the trash when I was cleaning my bathroom and was devastated! We moved 22 years ago. Last summer I was cleaning out a kitchen cupboard and saw a chain hanging out of a small matchbox from After The Gold Rush, where I first met my husband. I opened the box and there was my necklace!!! I bawled!! It was awesome! --patty.sheil22@gmail

lucky to be alive
I drove a tow truck for my family busines since i was 16. Today I turned 32. On april 15, 2010 i was called out on a tow call on I70 east of Aurora, while loading the vehicle I was clipped by a semi, it bounced me between the semi and my tow truck multiple times, I was alone so I had to call 911 on my own. Aftermath of the incident was no broken bones and only a large evulsion on my right buttock and lots of bruises!!!
