What happened to the best part of the interview?
Thanks for posting the audio of this great witness to God. The copy I heard was lacking the best part, the part where Pierce forgave the shooter and is at peace and stated to Jamie that he isn't angry with the shooter because of his relationship with the Lord. Can you include that portion of the interview? Thanks.

politically correct chicken S**T
Awesome , But, you used pierce's interview Inappropriately, by editing out the forgiveness part of his interview, We think it was politically correct chicken S**T of you. from the Smiths

What they said
I agree with the two previous posters. I did not listen to it here, but I did listen to it this morning on your show, and if you cut out the part about Pierce's forgiveness, that's kinda messed up. That was the part that moved me the MOST about the interview! I am not even a religious person, but the calm, loving, compassionate forgiveness in this man's voice brought me to tears. Like many, I was (and still am) angry with this shooter and his senseless violent choices, but Pierce gave me a much needed different perspective. I was not there. He was. If he can express this level of love and gratitude after being shot 3 times by this guy, who are we to judge - or "edit" - his reaction to his experience?

Forgivenesss
Please put the entire interview back on so many people want to hear this your editing was really not a good judgment call.. This was awesome especially his forgiveness! Put it all on!!!!!

Sensorship is wrong!!!!! Your a public freedom of Speech Station
Not everyone feels the same as the person that edited this. You put Pierce on to tell his story and it makes you feel a little uncomfortable about his spirituality talk.... so you take it out. If you were on that floor being shot at I bet you would rethink where you stand with God.

More Agreement
I had only heard about this interview and got on tonight to listen. The part I was most interested to hear was his forgiving the shooter. VERY LAME on your part.

A different perspective
I listened this morning and I was of course intrigued and empathetic to hear about Pierce's tragic experience. I was accepting of his religious perspective but it truly began to dominate the interview. I felt like Pierce innocently crossed a line from sharing his personal feelings to using this radio interview as a platform to preach and convert. I stopped listening completely at that point. This isnt a Christian radio station. I feel like this radio station can do whatever they want as far as editing their interviews. If you have to hear everything entirely be sure to not miss the live interview.

Keep It Real
I listened to the show this morning and and was moved to tears. I have been talking about it all day. I came home to share it with my family and was VERY disappointed to find out that the best part of the interview has been edited out!! I AM a religious person, but just like "what they said" said, I have been struggling with anger as well and it changed my perspective too. PLEASE put his ENTIRE amazing testimony back on so others can have the opportunity to be impacted by his first hand experience, (like clearly so many of your listeners have been) as opposed to hearing it second hand! Religious or not, we could ALL use a little reminder to forgive. Maybe if we were all more like Pierce O'Farrill, there would be fewer people like James Holmes in this world. Just sayin'....

Seriously?!
Pierce's interview was so inspiring...put it all on!!!
07/25/2012 10:05AM
Where's the rest of it?
I was going to send this interview on to friends and was shocked to find that some of Pierce's interview was edited out! I caught the last part of yesterday's interview in which Pierce shared his perspective on forgiveness, faith, and the light that's come out of such darkness. Please PUT THE FULL INTERVIEW ONLINE. Why edit out the hope and perspective he shared?
07/25/2012 11:06AM
I can't believe you edited this!
The entire interview should be posted! You invited Pierce to share his story, so don't censor and edit the parts that make you uncomfortable. Every word he said should be heard.

Can you post a link to the best part? The part about forgivness.
The blog is running 10 to 1 to post the whole thing. How can those that would like to hear the part about the forgiveness get a listen? My daughter came home stoked and tried to have us listen, only to be disappointed by the edited portion. We would really like to find out where we could listen to the best part.

Why?
If you know that Pierce has forgiven the shooter, believes his faith protected him, etc. why do you need to hear him say this? Can't you think for yourself? Do you need his forgiveness to feel your own forgiveness? If Poerce changes his mind to notforgiving the shooter will you also change yours?

here's the forgiveness part!!
http://media.alice1059.com/a/59722365/slacker-and-steve-interview-with-pierce-o-farrill-7-23.htm?&seek=628.679 I guess the forgiveness interview was with Slacker & Steve not Bj, Howie & Jamie.. Or, maybe he said the same stuff in both interviews, I don't know I missed the live ones - but this link has his testimony / forgiveness part in it!!!

Forgiveness is an overrated virtue
Pierce forgives Mr. Holmes. Well that's fine for him, but I do not see any value in doing that. We have responsibilities in life, and the idea that someone can be washed clean of their sins is not an idea worth embracing. This shooter has commited a vile crime. He is psychopath. I do not see what is gained from offering personal forgiveness for the crime. Personally I feel that forgiving him is insulting to other people who are hurt by this man. Washing the shooter clean of his sins doesn't change the fact that families have lost their loved ones to a random psychopathic attack. There is a lot of rebuilding that needs to be done, families that are trying to cope; an experience I cannot comprehend. But none of the crimes can be washed clean. The consequences of the shooter's actions will live on. It appears Pierce feels good by forgiving, but that personal forgiveness doesn't change anything.
