In California, Laurel Rudolph lent her car to a friend at the beginning of October and when he didn’t return it or any of her phone calls for that matter, she called the police. The police never found her friend, but they did get a lead when someone took it to the Department of Motor Vehicles to try and register it. Her friend tried to sell it on Craig’s List!!
Slacker didn’t want to get into it, but once he lent a guitar to his friend and they ended up breaking it. Steve lent a movie to Slacker called Very Bad Things, three years ago and Slacker still hasn’t returned it. He hasn’t even watched it!
On the opposite ends of things, I have a friend that lets us borrow her car all the time. Once we wanted to go camping and she couldn’t make it, but she still allowed us to use her car! It’s crazy! We are even taking her car to go tailgating at the Jets/Broncos game and she won’t even be with us for half the day. What if we did something to it? What if we never brought it back? I would never lend something that expensive out to a friend.
I know everything turned out ok for my friend, but I don’t think Laurel will be lending to a friend ever again. Why will you never lend to a friend again?
