How I Got Outta Working

If you work on a nuclear submarine and want to go home early, how do you get out of work? It’s easy…just set the sub on fire!

A 24-year-old man set a fire that caused $400 million in damage to a nuclear-powered submarine-- because he had anxiety and wanted to get out of work early. It caused damage to the torpedo room and command area inside the forward compartment. It took more than 12 hours to extinguish.
He also caused a second fire outside the sub after getting anxious over a text-message exchange with an ex-girlfriend about a man she had started seeing. He took some alcohol wipes and set them on fire outside the submarine.

Unfortunately for this guy, playing sick doesn't work in the military like it would out here.  Slacker has family members would lie to their bosses by saying that Grandma died (how dare you, she is a lovely lady!).  Steve was younger when he ditched out on some farm work by faking a fall and pretending that he broke a rib.  His dad went to the hospital to check it out and went the whole nine yards by getting x-rays and such.  Aside from wasting everyone's time, he was in HUGE trouble.

Usually I'm not one to break the rules, but I've found ways to get out of work early.  Usually when I act being sick, my coworkers don't want to risk being with a sick person or I am a fantastic actor (Oscar-worthy, of course).  Either way I'm out several hours of having to hate my life and continue sleeping or playing video games or something else non-productive.

What have you done to get out of work early?
