Great Mate Debate: Best Man's Mustache

They are getting married the week after Thanksgiving. The best man of their wedding is undergoing No-Shave-November and the bride thinks he needs to shave his crazy mustache before the wedding. The groom feels like it's not a big deal because he's doing it for a good cause.

Connie (the bride) makes a great point because she doesn't want him to stand out so much. Whether it be in their pictures, during the ceremony, or when he gives his best man speech. I can agree with her because it is her day, and no day is more important than a woman's wedding. She should be the focal point, not the 70's handlebar mustache on the best man. Keith (the groom) told us that his best man Rich does this every year because of his father. Rich's father had prostate cancer, and he grows a mustache every November to raise awareness. Keith feels like it shouldn't be a big deal, especially because it means SO much to his best man. I also see Keith's point, because cancer awareness is a big deal to me. I had thyroid cancer last year, and even though there really isn't an awareness month where I don't shave (gross) it means a lot to me that people are aware of it. I can't really pick a side. This is SO tough!

What do you think? Should Keith tell his best man to shave the stache off? Or should Rich be able to keep it?

Lots of love - Intern Bri.
