Dumpster Diving Discoveries
Zany environmental science professor Jeff Wilson has committed to living in a dumpster for an entire year as part of a new course on low-impact living! Roughly one-percent the size of a new American home, the six-foot wide abode will be outfitted with solar panels, water filtration and energy-producing toilets. Wilson's students at Huston-Tillotson University will study the modified dumpster throughout his stay! Professor Wilson will begin his year in a dumpster later this fall in Austin, Texas.
Slacker said that he used to know a house that would throw away almost new stuff. When he was in school he knew parents that would buy their kids all new furniture for their dorm and at the end of the year they would throw it all out and buy new stuff next year. Cruise the campuses at the end of the year you may find great stuff.
Steve said that he lived near a convenience store that would throw out new stuff all the time. There was a guy Steve knew that found an old Harvard University yearbook and made a killing on it on ebay. Or hang out near retail store dumpsters they sometimes throw out new clothes that are old styles.
It may be frowned upon, but you can get some awesome stuff dumpster diving! What are your amazing Dumpster Diving Discoveries?
