A mother went on a cleaning strike for a week to teach her kids a lesson. Her three girls didn't do any housework while her husband was away on a golfing trip. So, she stopped cleaning....and snapped photos of the growing mess and posted the pics on her blog. After Day 6 the girls had enough… they spent the next two days helping their mom clean up the house.
Slacker has boycotted plenty of things…a certain manufacturer of bratwurst for one.
Steve’s boycott is a little restaurant on the corner near the studio. He hasn’t been there a while. Mostly because they never have hard boiled eggs, croutons or sunflower seeds on the salad bar. He went in there the other day and they had all those things! As he was dancing around, feeling good and super happy they had those items, he gets to the dressings and they were out of Blue cheese dressing! He asked one of the employees if they could fill it up and they told him they wouldn’t have any until tomorrow…tomorrow! So, he left his plate at the salad bar and bailed. He is now boycotting the place and refuses to even let them know his dismay. He’s also boycotting a kids’ pizza place just out of principal…
What led you to stop using something or boycott a company on a personal level?
My wife doesn’t go to a big box retail store because of their labor practices and I don’t go to a sandwich maker just because he switched meat providers…
