Yes, Slacker’s family was “that” family…The family that gave out popcorn balls on Halloween. Even though his parents instilled in him to never take those from other families! Apparently, they always thought there was a razor blade that was put into the apple or the popcorn ball, but it’s really just an urban legend.
When you were a kid, what was the weirdest thing you ever got?
If you’re a kid now, maybe you were lucky enough to catch Steve a few years ago. Steve got out of work late once and forgot it was Halloween so he noticed he had a few one dollar bills in his pocket and started giving those out. Bad idea… When Steve was little, he was given a kitten, but of course he had to give it back.
Slacker and Steve are really feeling the Halloween Spirit…or so they think. They tried to make the sound a ghost would make, but they sounded more like whales.
Slacker is 100% is parents basement is haunted. When he was a little boy, he would always go into the basement. In the basement, they had a rack of CD’s and he would see certain CD’s always sliding out. He would slide them back in and they would still slide out! He even tried to un-alphabetize them and they still moved! One day, he placed a gift, a painting of Elvis, up on the wall by the CD rack and the sliding of the CD’s mysteriously stopped. Slacker believes the ghost either got tired of looking at Elvis or was finally pleased.
Ben joined us live on t he air today to share his OPP.
Ben has been having a bit of a marriage issue. His wife started going out 4 or 5 nights a week for the past few months with her new co-worker named Gabby. His wife, Katie, has never been like this. She was maybe a weekend here or there kind of girl and now it’s just turning odd. She comes home late, never gives him a straight story about where she’s been and it’s starting to become too much for him. He doesn’t even know what to think…At this point his way of dealing with it has been acting like it’s not happening so he came to Slacker and Steve.
Slacker has read that the seven year itch is now more like a three year itch so he wonders if that may be it, but how are you to know that? Slacker was curious if she was sleeping with other people, but Ben says she never slept over anywhere. She always comes home; it’s just at a late hour. Slacker was also curious as to if she showered when she got home but Ben is a very sound sleeper and he didn’t have an answer. So, Slacker’s advice was to watch out for that, but he also thinks maybe she’s just caught up in something new and she needs help bringing it back into moderation.
What do you think is going on here? Do you have any advice for Ben?
Slacker was in an Italian Restaurant and was there with his family. For some reason, there were grapes on his salad so he and his brother got into a food fight with them. He’s not super athletic, but good enough not to hit anybody. Well at one point, he launched a grape over one of his brother’s heads and it landed on the ground behind. A waitress came out with the 5 feet across tray on her shoulder and her foot hit the grape and there she went! She went down and all the food landed all over her…No one else, just her! It was embedded in her skin. Lets just say she was not their waitress for the rest of the night.
Slacker thinks Steve has hurt a lot of strangers in his youth, but at 16 when he could drive, he would probably drive his car through the puddle if it was raining, just to get a stranger soaked. Slacker…was right. Slacker has gotten a stranger soaked, but he didn’t mean to do it on purpose.
The Bucket of honor is a real thing… Jamie is going to use this for tonight’s trick or treaters because She is going with other mothers to run the street, Bj is thinking about doing the bucket because there is a big Nuggets Basketball game on tonight. Do kids take advantage of the bucket of honor?
